I find that with an ArcadeSD, a Taito TypeX2 with MAME, a Naomi with Netboot, and Darksoft's CPS2-multi, I can play almost any game made up until the mid noughties at 99% fidelity. A Taito Type X2 with a multidisk will actually run MAME really well too, since it's basically a custom PC running XP. Ive got a spare LCD and a spare Linux box, but Linux MAME options are clunky at best. It supports multiple file formats, game language switch support, and hardware controller support.The only board I've tried that does decent emulation is the ArcadeSD, which includes lots of oldies that are very well emulated. Ive got a mint, original Joust, a home-made racing simulator, an old 1954 Sega Bell slot, and Im hoping to add a pachinko machine in the near future.
